Jaeeok Kim(Light designer)
Jaeeok Kim is a lighting designer from Korea. He seeks to explore the essence of his works by harmoniously conveying the atmosphere and emotions through light, and expressing them on stage. Rather than frequent changes in lighting, he focuses on delivering the drama within a single, dense image, and enjoys expressing a sense of loneliness within warmth.
Having first encountered lighting at the Department of Theater at Seokyeong University, he worked as a lighting director at Arko Art Theater under the Arts Council Korea from 2010 to 2019 after graduation. Later transitioning to a freelance lighting designer, he has collaborated with numerous artists, particularly in the field of dance.
