"A man is in the midst of the unconscious; the cohesion and the ROAR and Nirvana are invited inside the isolated space. Aging."
The piece "Jean-Marc" takes us to a place between nightmare and reality, where merely dim memories of `the self' remain. We are invited to examine the fascinating power of fear and the unknown, touching on similarities with exorcism. For this piece, Hun-Mok Jung has developed a very particular, powerful and seemingly uncoordinated movement language that provokes the beholder and may give a feeling of unease and urgency.

"My wish to create Jean Marc, a fictional character from the boundary between reality and fantasy, stems from an interest in the conflicts of the ego
that most of us endure throughout our lives. Jean-Marc is a gloomy character who is no longer in control of his body and soul. While I wrote the dramaturgy for this piece I realized that it's not the story and the reasons which are important - but rather the experience and the feelings I can give to the audience while I'm on stage. As soon as I realized this I approached my piece in a different way, putting the emphasis on the feelings that are conveyed through my movements and the interactions between me and the elderly figurants. In my piece "Jean-Marc" I wish to give the audience a sense of a situation and a place which is completely real.
